  • President Trump published his 28-page “AI-Action-Plan” for “winning the AI race” yesterday, which was developed by Trump's AI and crypto czar—David Sacks—and the Office of Science and Technology Policy. It includes over 90 federal “recommendations”—centered around expanding AI infrastructure, increasing private-sector innovation, and exporting American AI for global influence—which will be implemented within the next year. And, as also expected, one of the key parts of his plan is to break away from former President Biden’s “safety-first” approach and get the US a competitive advantage over global competitors, especially China.

  • Elon Musk’s xAI is scaling at an aggressive pace on both infrastructure and product fronts. The company is finalizing Colossus 2, a massive new supercomputing cluster slated to deploy over 550,000 NVIDIA GB200 and GB300 GPUs for AI training within weeks. This follows Colossus 1, which already runs 230,000 GPUs, including 30,000 GB200s, to train the Grok family of models, while inference workloads remain on external cloud providers.

  • Amazon is moving deeper into AI wearables with its acquisition of Bee, a startup that makes a $50 Fitbit-like bracelet and an Apple Watch app designed to listen to conversations and create reminders or to-do lists. Bee, which raised $7 million last year, pitches itself as a “personal, ambient intelligence” and plans to evolve into a “cloud phone” that mirrors users’ devices
