EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TODAY

Musk Steals Tesla`s AI Chip Stash

Oh boy, Elon Musk is causing trouble again!

Apparently, he's been taking thousands of powerful AI chips meant for Tesla's self-driving cars and giving them to his Twitter company instead. Tesla was supposed to get a huge shipment of chips to work on autonomous driving, but now X is getting first dibs.

Some angry investors are saying Musk is putting the social media bird before Tesla's big robotaxi plans.

In a post on X after CNBC’s story published, Musk said that Tesla lacked the capacity to accept the Nvidia GPUs because the company’s factory in Austin, Texas, is incomplete.

With Elon always juggling so many tech toys, you've got to wonder what shenanigans he'll pull next!

AI Brainiacs Want "Right to Warn"

The super smart folks working on AI have a demand - they want to be able to warn everyone if the robots start going haywire!

A bunch of researchers from places like OpenAI wrote a letter saying AI companies should let them speak up about potential dangers, no questions asked.

They even got big name scientists to back them up.

Several researchers posted threads on their experience, with Daniel Kokotajlo revealing he quit OpenAI after ‘losing hope’ the company would act responsibly.

It's like the AI builders want a get-out-of-jail-free card in case Skynet becomes real.

Can't blame them for wanting that safety net!

Tiny AI Predicts Huge Storm Situations

Get this - some super smart computer nerds have created an AI that can predict the weather better than regular forecasts, and it runs on a regular desktop!

These crafty models like WeatherMesh and AIFS study tons of past weather info to spot patterns and see into the future. Pretty wild that such a small AI can track massive hurricane systems that usually need monster supercomputers.

Who knows, maybe our trusty desktop companions will be our new meteorologist buddies soon!

OpenAI and Google Secrets

Oh snap, some workers at OpenAI and Google just threw their bosses under the bus!

In an open letter, they basically said the AI companies are keeping secrets about their super smart robot buddies.

Apparently, the tech giants aren't being totally honest about how capable or risky their AIs really are. The employees want protection to be whistleblowers without getting in trouble.

Looks like the corporations got caught with their hand in the robot cookie jar!

Nobody likes a cover-up.

Gemini Wants to DJ Too?

Look out Spotify,

Google's smart assistant Gemini is trying to muscle in on your music streaming turf! Apparently, the code detectives have found hints that Gemini is getting its own Spotify Extension.

That means the AI helper could soon be picking playlists and controlling tunes, not just on YouTube Music.

Can you imagine asking Gemini to queue up your favorite jams?

The robot DJ revolution may be upon us! Though let's hope it has better taste than playing "Baby Shark" on repeat.
