These AI pens can digitize handwritten notes, translate languages in real time and provide instant answers to questions. These pen work with an internal camera and other sensors to capture your writing, some pens can translate spoken or written languages into other languages.
Researchers published a study showing they trained an AI model to detect the Parkinson`s disease by analyzing short videos of people mimicking facial expressions, with nearly 88% accuracy across participants in the U.S. and Bangladesh. This AI can catch subtle muscle changes caused by Parkinson’s (ones even doctors might miss). With no cure and limited access to neurologists, especially in rural areas, this tool could offer a low-cost, accessible solution for early diagnosis. The code is now open-source on GitHub.
DeepMind just introduced AlphaGenome, a powerful AI model that can predict how DNA changes affect gene regulation and disease risk. Unlike older models, AlphaGenome can process up to 1 million DNA letters at once, giving high-resolution predictions for thousands of molecular traits like gene expression, RNA splicing, and protein binding. It’s a major step toward understanding the non-coding 98% of the genome.
China’s National University of Defence Technology (NUDT) has developed a mosquito-sized drone for stealth military missions, according to a recent state TV report. The tiny robot, shown held between a student’s fingers, mimics a mosquito and is designed for battlefield reconnaissance and special operations. With delicate wings and thread-thin legs, the drone’s tiny size makes production challenging, requiring advances in materials science, micro-engineering, and bionics. It resembles the U.S.-developed Black Hornet, a palm-sized drone used by global militaries.
