What's special about the Orion AR glasses?

Meta announced Orion: “the world’s most advanced AR glasses ever made”

• Meta AI and Orion are multimodal and can understand everything you see

• Comes with eye, hand, and neural tracking

• Video calls turn friends into lifelike avatars next to you

• Sub-100g weight, wide field of view displays

• Voice control and hand tracking capabilities

• Took over 10 years to develop

What's new with Llama?

• Llama 3.2 introduced: first major vision model understanding images and text

• Available in 11B and 90B parameter versions

  • Two medium-sized vision LLMs (11B and 90B), which are competitive with Claude 3 Haiku and GPT4o-mini on image recognition

• New super-small 1B and 3B models for on-device use

  • Two lightweight, text-only models (1B and 3B) that fit onto edge and mobile devices, support 128k context tokens, and are SOTA for many on-device use cases.

• Locally running the models can make prompts and responses “feel instantaneous” — also storing the data on your device and private since the processing is done locally.

• Automatic video dubbing and lip-syncing in any language

• AI-generated content, 'Imagined for you' on Feeds

What's Voice Mode?
