Researchers develop a new framework allowing robots to learn tasks from online human demonstration videos.

How framework works?

Framework enables robots to learn complex manipulation tasks from YouTube-like videos utilizing large language models to interpret and contextualize human actions in videos.

It has three main components:

• Real2Sim: Track the video to replicate object motion in a simulation.

• Learn@Sim: Learns the grasping points and placing points that allow robot to perform the same actions via reinforcement learning.

• Sim2Real: Deployed the policy to a real dual-arm robot.

Apple introduces DataComp for Language Models (DCLM) project, releasing new open-source models on Hugging Face.

The package includes two main models at the core: 7 billion parameters and 1.4 billion parameters.

7B model trained on 2.5 trillion tokens, achieving 63.7% accuracy on MMLU benchmark, outperforms Mistral-7B and approaches top models like Llama 3 and Gemma. 1.4B model exceeds performance of recent models like SmolLM.
