DeepMind
Math prodigies, meet your match.
DeepMind just unleashed AlphaGeometry2, an AI that cracked 84% of International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) geometry problems from the past 25 years—outperforming the average gold medalist.

🔍 How did it do it?
Combines Gemini AI with a symbolic engine for deep deductive reasoning.
Solved 42 out of 50 problems, beating the gold medalist average of 40.9—a leap from its predecessor’s 54% solve rate.
Trained on 300M+ synthetic theorems and proofs, building a vast, evolving mathematical knowledge base.
💡 Why does this matter?
Math has been a known weakness for AI—struggling with even basic problems at times. But DeepMind is changing that, cracking the code to AI-powered advanced reasoning.
Beyond competitions, this could revolutionize physics, cryptography, and AI-driven scientific discovery.

Apple
Home robots are getting a personality boost, and Apple is leading the charge.
The company just introduced ELEGNT, a framework that makes robots more engaging by using natural movements—and they’re proving it with a Pixar-style robotic lamp.

The Details:
🔹 Apple’s prototype doesn’t just respond; it reacts—turning to “look” out a window when discussing the weather.
🔹 It combines Siri’s voice with gestures, using a moving head and arm to create lifelike interactions.
🔹 Testing shows that expressive movements—like nodding or appearing curious—make people feel more comfortable and engaged.
Why It Matters:
Tech giants are pushing home robots, but Apple’s research suggests success isn’t just about intelligence—it’s about emotional connection. Instead of focusing on humanoid forms, Apple is making AI feel more natural, relatable, and alive.
Would you welcome an expressive AI into your home? 👀
