• OpenAI has launched a new low-cost plan in India called ChatGPT Go, priced at ₹399 ($4.57) a month, its cheapest subscription yet. The plan includes access to GPT-5, higher message limits, more image generations, file uploads, and double the memory compared to the free tier. India is OpenAI’s second-largest user base, and the rollout there comes before global expansion. The company also offers ChatGPT Plus (₹1,999 / $20) and Pro (₹19,900 / $200).

• DeepSeek has quietly dropped V3.1, a 685B-parameter open-source model now live on Hugging Face. The update expands the context window to 128k tokens (roughly a 300-page book) and introduces a hybrid architecture that merges chat, reasoning, and coding in a single system. Researchers digging through the release found hidden tokens enabling search integration and internal reasoning, hinting at new architectural experiments.

• Meta’s latest self-supervised vision model, DINOv3, has been open-sourced . Seven billion parameters, 1.7 billion images, and no labeled data needed, Meta is giving developers everything: pre-trained variants, adapters, and full training pipelines. The result is strong generalization across messy, annotation-poor domains like satellite imagery or medical scans, and the ability to drop it straight into production instead of just experimenting in the lab.

• Nvidia is developing a new AI chip for China, called the B30A, which could be more powerful than the H20 it currently sells there. The chip is built on the company’s Blackwell design and uses a single-die setup, likely giving it about half the power of Nvidia’s flagship B300 but still stronger than the H20. Nvidia hopes to send samples to Chinese customers as early as next month, though U.S. approval remains uncertain.
