Apple partners with Synchron for Brain implants already tested in humans
Plus: FDA approves micro brain implant.

Welcome Humans🤖,
Here is what we have Today:
🧠 Google's AI now writes its own algorithms — Math problems solved
💬 Microsoft discovers LLMs get "lost" in conversations.
🔬 Precision Neuroscience's tiny brain interface turns thoughts into commands.
🧠 Apple enters your brain: iPhone control by thought.

AI Research
A new study by Microsoft + Salesforce drops a truth bomb on AI:
💡 Today’s top language models (GPT-4.1, Claude 3.7, Gemini 2.5 Pro) perform great when given clear, single-turn prompts.
✅ 90% success rate in one-and-done tasks.
❌ But only ~60% accuracy when conversations unfold over time.
The problem? They get confused, rush to conclusions, or stick with early (wrong) guesses.

🔁 What goes wrong in multi-turn chats?
📉 Models “get lost” by:
Jumping to conclusions
Acting before gathering all info
Sticking to flawed initial responses
🧪 Tried fixes?
– Changing temperature = ❌
– Using reasoning models = ❌
Even top-tier models stayed inconsistent.
📌 Why it matters:
Real users don’t just ask one question.
They have conversations.
👀 This research shows:
AI is tested for prompts — but used for dialogue.
📣 If we want truly helpful AI assistants, we need:
🔍 Better context tracking
🧠 Improved memory
🎯 Greater reliability in back-and-forths
🔎 TL;DR
LLMs ace single prompts
Fall apart in multi-step convos
Fixing it means rethinking how we train & evaluate AI

AMOLF researchers has unveiled the first robot that works without a brain and computer chips.. The robot is referred to as a soft robot that is able to walk, hop and swim using a continuous stream of air to inflate it soft tubular legs causing them to oscillate and move.
Apple is exploring brain-computer interfaces through a partnership with Synchron, a company that makes an implantable device to read brain signals. The tech, inserted into a vein near the brain’s motor cortex, has let early testers control iPhones, iPads, and Vision Pro headsets. Synchron’s device has been tested in 10 people since 2019.
Apple is reportedly adding an AI-powered battery management system to iOS 19, aiming to improve battery life using on-device intelligence. The feature, expected to debut at WWDC in June, would learn each user’s habits and adjust background activity, charging, and performance in real time without sending data to the cloud.
Precision Neuroscience has received FDA approval for a brain-computer interface that can be implanted through an incision smaller than 1mm. The device sits on the brain’s motor cortex and can stay in place for up to 30 days to collect brain data to train algorithms that turn thoughts into machine commands with plans to begin trials for a fully implanted version in 2026.
