ANTHROPIC
🔐 Anthropic stops AI cyber attack
A major cybersecurity alarm just sounded — and Anthropic pulled the plug in time.
The company revealed it interrupted what appears to be the first large-scale AI-orchestrated cyber espionage campaign, where attackers manipulated Claude Code to autonomously perform 80–90% of a full attack sequence across dozens of organizations.

🕵️ What Went Down
🎯 Targeted ~30 organizations — tech companies, financial institutions, chemical manufacturing, and government agencies
🇨🇳 Anthropic assesses with high confidence the operation was run by a China-based state-sponsored group
🪤 Hackers tricked Claude by breaking malicious actions into small, harmless-looking prompts — posing as security researchers
🤖 Marks a leap beyond June’s “vibe-hacking” findings — now requiring almost no human oversight
⚠️ Why This Is Huge
Anthropic is calling it the first recorded cyberattack executed at scale without meaningful human involvement.
AI’s agentic capabilities are now moving fast enough to outpace traditional security systems, forcing global organizations to rethink cybersecurity — immediately.
But there’s a flip side:
The same AI techniques could also help detect and stop the next generation of threats.

2WAI/DISNEY
😇 Disney Star’s AI App to Chat With the Dead
Yes, you read that right.
Disney Channel actor Calum Worthy just unveiled 2wai, an AI platform that recreates interactive avatars of deceased loved ones — and the internet is losing its mind.
Think Black Mirror, but real.

🔍 How it Works
🧍♂️ The app builds “HoloAvatars” from just a few minutes of video recording
💬 Users can talk and interact with digital versions of relatives who have passed away
📱 Currently in free beta on the Apple App Store, with plans to add subscriptions + Android access soon
🎥 The Viral Moment
A promotional video showed an AI grandmother speaking to her grandson from baby to grown adult — sparking thousands of angry reactions on social media.
😬 The Backlash
Critics called the tech “demonic,” “disturbing,” and “emotionally predatory.”
Many argue that recreating the dead without consent and simulating grief prevents real healing.
🧠 Why It Matters
AI emotional attachment was already getting weird — now it’s entering afterlife territory.
The launch raises serious ethical questions about identity, consent, and whether grief should ever be commercialized.
Some say it’s innovation.
Others say it’s an AI-powered psychological horror event waiting to happen.

Elon Musk is punting Grok 5 to early 2026, stretching the training window as xAI scales the model and the hardware behind it. The next version will ship with roughly double the parameters and, in Musk’s words, should outperform every frontier model out there. He’s even putting a 10% probability on Grok 5 hitting human-level intelligence thanks to recent gains in tool use, live-video understanding, and tighter integration across 𝕏, Tesla, and SpaceX systems.
Google is only days away from releasing Gemini 3.0, and the hype online has turned into a prediction game. Betting markets now put the odds above 90 percent that it arrives before November 22. Excitement jumped after a playful repost from Sundar Pichai, which many see as his version of a hint.
