Cohere For AI has unveiled Aya Vision, a cutting-edge multimodal AI that understands and translates visual content for over half the world’s population. It’s setting new performance records and pushing the boundaries of multilingual AI.

The details:
🔹 Comes in two sizes: Aya Vision 8B outperforms models 10x larger, while 32B beats those twice its size, including Llama-3.2 90B Vision.
🔹 Can describe images, answer visual questions, and translate visual content across diverse languages—from Vietnamese to Arabic.
🔹 Free to explore! Released under a CC non-commercial license, available on Kaggle, Hugging Face, and even WhatsApp.
🔹 Benchmarking the future: Cohere has also open-sourced the Aya Vision Benchmark, testing AI’s ability to handle real-world multilingual scenarios.
